Description
This lot comprises two vintage wooden and paper-covered cigar boxes of Cuban origin along with an assortment of tobacco-related ephemera. The first box is a Montecristo No. 1 Cabinet Selection, featuring the brand’s iconic logo of six crossed rapiers forming a triangle around a central fleur-de-lis on the lid. The interior of the lid is decorated with the same logo and the text Cabinet Selection No. 1 Montecristo Habana. The base of the box is stamped with the Hecho en Cuba oval and bears a green Republica de Cuba government warranty seal. This box contains several vintage smoking accessories and ephemera, including a Denicotea Paris-New York box, a package of Jima Pipe of the Year 2000 spiral filters, Imperio brand tobacco packaging, a matchbox from Colombia, and a ceramic fragment. The second item is a smaller vintage cigar box for La Escepcion de Jose Gener. The lithographic labels feature a portrait of Jose Gener y Batet, an illustration of the Havana factory, and various award medals. The text includes Fabrica de Tabacos, Cigarros y Paquetes de Picadura de Jose Gener and the address Maximo Gomez No. 51 Habana. It also retains a green Cuban warranty seal. These items are sold as historical ephemera and smoking collectibles; no cigars are included in this lot.

Condition report:
The items show signs of age and use consistent with vintage paper and wooden collectibles. The Montecristo box exhibits significant scuffing to the paper edges, staining, and fading of the lithography. The La Escepcion box, currently held in a protective sleeve, shows moderate wear to the labels, yellowing, and minor losses to the paper consistent with age. The assorted ephemera contents show varying degrees of wear, including creasing and minor tears to original packaging.
