Description
A group of vintage soft toys including teddy bears and a reclining tiger. The selection includes a large cream-coloured plush bear in the style of the British character Sooty, featuring a single black ear, amber-coloured eyes, and black stitched facial details. Also included is a mid-sized golden mohair teddy bear with articulated limbs and head, amber eyes, and felt paw pads. A smaller dark brown mohair teddy bear is also present, featuring articulated limbs and wearing a black bow tie. The group is completed by a reclining tiger soft toy made from printed striped plush with a pink stitched nose and white whiskers. No maker’s marks or labels are visible.
Largest bear height: 15 inches.
Condition report:
The items are in play-worn vintage condition. The cream-coloured bear shows light surface soiling. The golden bear exhibits thinning of the mohair, particularly on the limbs. The small brown bear is heavily worn with significant fur loss and a missing left eye. The tiger is missing both eyes and shows general wear to the fabric.
