Description

An assortment of decorative items and collectibles comprising a Clarice Cliff ceramic creamer jug with horizontal banded decoration in green and orange-brown tones. The base of the jug bears a printed script mark with the Clarice Cliff signature, Wilkinson Ltd England, and registered number 743558. The collection includes a harlequin set of six porcelain egg cups in assorted colours including black, peach, yellow, green, blue, and lilac, each with a gilt rim and presented in a purple cardboard box with dividers. There is a selection of figurines, including a glazed porcelain lady in a blue dress with white starburst patterns, a character figure of a man in a wide-brimmed hat, a dark-finished figurine of a double bass player, a Winnie the Pooh and Eeyore figure group, and a large ceramic bust of a lady in a hat on a pedestal base. Glassware items consist of a pair of faceted cut-glass candlesticks and four decorative paperweights, including one with floral millefiori-style inclusions. Two salt-glazed stoneware bottles are present, one incised with lettering starting MACAL. Additional items consist of a white ceramic Disney mug depicting Pluto and other characters, a three-piece olive-green dressing table set comprising a rectangular tray, hairbrush, and hand mirror, and an ornate silver-toned metal hand mirror with embossed floral and scrollwork decoration.

Condition report:

The items generally appear to be in good vintage condition. The Clarice Cliff jug shows no obvious chips or cracks. The large lady bust shows some surface staining and wear to the pedestal base. Stoneware bottles exhibit typical manufacturing irregularities and surface wear associated with age. Dressing table items show minor surface wear and abrasions consistent with use. Ceramic items may exhibit fine crazing typical of their age.
