Description
A hand-carved walking stick or cane crafted from a dark-stained hardwood. The central shaft features a decorative open barley-twist or spiral-carved design. The handle and the lower section above the base are detailed with turned, incised horizontal rings. The item is finished with a polished surface and is fitted with a small metal ferrule at the tip. No maker’s marks, stamps, or inscriptions are visible on the object.
Condition report:
The walking stick shows signs of age and regular use, including general surface wear and minor scuffs to the polished finish. The metal ferrule at the base displays oxidation and wear consistent with contact with the ground. The wooden structure appears stable with no visible cracks.
