Description
A vintage walking stick featuring a cast metal figural handle modelled as the head of a sighthound, such as a greyhound or whippet. The handle displays detailed anatomical features including ears and a buckled collar. It is finished with a dark, aged patina and exhibits areas of green oxidation within the recesses. The handle is mounted to a natural wood shaft that has a scorched or darkened finish. The shaft terminates in a black synthetic ferrule. No manufacturer stamps or markings are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The walking stick is in used condition with age-appropriate wear. There are surface abrasions and minor losses to the finish on the wooden shaft. The metal handle shows tarnishing and verdigris. The ferrule is worn at the base.
