Description
A B-flat (Bb) clarinet of five-part construction, comprising a mouthpiece with metal ligature and cap, barrel, upper joint, lower joint, and a flared bell. The instrument features a black-finished body with nickel-plated keywork and cork-wrapped tenon joints. The bell is marked with an ornate, intertwined script monogram logo, possibly depicting the letters JR or GR. Included are two sealed Vandoren reeds in individual wrappers, labelled CLARINETTE Bb-Si♭. The instrument is housed in a black hard-shell carrying case with a blue plush-lined interior and a reinforced handle.
Condition report:
The instrument is in used, disassembled condition. The nickel-plated keywork shows evidence of tarnish and light surface oxidation consistent with age. The cork joints show compression and discolouration. The mouthpiece shows discolouration near the tip. The body sections appear to be free of major cracks or structural damage upon visual inspection, although the instrument would likely require professional servicing and new pads for optimal performance. The case shows signs of age and wear.
