Description
A pair of complementary utilitarian jugs of flared form, constructed from steel with a vitreous enamel coating. One jug is finished in a vibrant red with a white interior, while the other is finished in black with a pale grey interior. Both pieces are decorated with two thin, yellow horizontal pinstripes encircling the body. Each vessel features a wide rim with an integral pouring spout and a simple loop handle. No maker’s marks or backstamps are visible on either piece.
Height: approximately 13 cm.
Condition report:
The red jug is in overall good vintage condition with minor surface wear and light scuffing to the base consistent with age and use. The black jug exhibits more pronounced signs of use, including significant scuffing and oxidation to the underside, several small chips to the enamel coating on the rim and handle, and some staining and pitting to the interior surface.
