Lot 6:
Description
A collection of two horse figurines. The first is a naturalistically painted figurine of a standing heavy draft horse, likely a Shire or Clydesdale, featuring a bay coat, black mane and tail, and white feathering on the lower legs. This item bears an impressed circular maker’s mark on the belly for North Light, Made in England, with a copyright date of 1984. The underside of the hooves are fitted with blue protective felt pads. The second figurine depicts a rearing stallion in a dynamic pose atop a textured rock-effect base. It is finished with a dark brown patinated surface consistent with cold-cast bronze or a similar weighted composite resin, showing detailed anatomical musculature and a flowing mane.
Rearing horse height: approximately 31 cm
Draft horse height: approximately 21 cm.
Condition report:
Both figurines are in good overall condition. The rearing horse shows minor surface wear to the patinated finish on the high points of the base. The North Light draft horse exhibits some light surface scuffs and minor paint wear consistent with age and display. No chips, cracks, or visible repairs were observed.
