Lot 7:
Description
A stylised figural sculpture depicting a bovine head and elongated neck, hand-carved from dark, polished buffalo horn. The object features separately carved and attached curved horns and inset black bead eyes. The neck tapers down to the base, where the natural, light-coloured fibrous structure of the horn is visible. The piece is mounted onto a rough-hewn, naturalistic stone base. This sculpture displays a minimalist aesthetic characteristic of mid-20th-century decorative folk art. No manufacturer marks, signatures, or inscriptions are present on the object.
Height: 43 cm.
Condition report:
The sculpture is in good condition overall, exhibiting minor surface scuffing and light scratches consistent with age and handling. No significant chips, cracks, or restorations are visible.
