Lot 70:
Description
This lot consists of two industrial measuring instruments. The first is a large format pressure gauge featuring a black-finished metal casing with a chrome-plated bezel and a brass threaded male connection. The white dial is calibrated with dual scales: an inner scale measuring from 0 to 5500 lb/in2 and an outer scale measuring from 0 to 400 bar. The dial is marked with the DIN standard rectangular symbol and specifies an accuracy class of KL.1,0. The second instrument is a precision Shore Type A2 durometer, manufactured by The Shore Instrument and Mfg. Co. of New York, U.S.A. This tool, designed for measuring the hardness of materials such as rubber and plastics, features a circular dial graduated from 0 to 100. It is housed in its original grey textured presentation case with a red velvet-lined interior.
Pressure gauge diameter: 165 mm
Durometer diameter: 57 mm
Case: 85 mm x 75 mm x 45 mm.
Condition report:
The pressure gauge dial face shows visible staining and surface loss at the bottom near the 6 o\'clock position. The black-finished metal casing exhibits paint loss and surface wear commensurate with age and industrial use. The durometer appears to be in good vintage condition. The original presentation case shows light external wear and scuffing to the edges and corners. Neither instrument has been tested for mechanical function or calibration accuracy.
