Description

An early 20th-century Swiss mechanical travel clock. The clock is housed in a square, folding brown leather case that acts as a strut stand when opened. The circular white enamel dial is set within a gilt-brass bezel and features black Roman numeral hour markers, an outer minute track, and a subsidiary seconds dial at the 6 o’clock position with Arabic numerals. The clock is fitted with black steel poire-style hands. The interior of the case is lined with purple velvet and silk. The movement backplate is stamped with the serial number 595368, SWISS MADE, and DEPOSE. It features an integrated fold-out winding wing-nut, a central square-post for hand setting, and a regulator lever marked with the letters F and S for Fast and Slow. A feathered arrow symbol is stamped at the base of the backplate.

Condition report:

The leather case shows significant surface wear, including scuffing, surface loss, and deterioration at the hinges. The interior fabric lining is faded and shows some marking and wear. The movement is sold as untested and would likely benefit from professional servicing.
