Description
This architectural door knocker features a hollow-cast backplate in the form of a lion’s head with a stylised mane. The knocker component is a heavy, U-shaped ring with central tiered mouldings, hinged at the sides of the lion’s head. finish, while the reverse shows a dull grey, oxidised surface consistent with cast Bronze Two mounting holes are located at the crown and chin of the casting. No maker’s marks, pattern numbers, or registration marks are visible on the item.

Condition report:
The item is in a weathered condition. The front shows significant wear to the original finish, . The reverse exhibits heavy oxidation. The hinge mechanism is functional. Mounting hardware is missing.
