Description
An assortment of antique and vintage measuring and calculation instruments, primarily of British manufacture. The collection includes a brass-mounted hardwood spirit level by J. Rabone and Sons, Birmingham, which features circular stamps for the maker and a Warranted Correct mark with a hand-and-weight trademark. Also present is a specialized boxwood and brass slide rule gauge for calculating rope and chain weights, with printed tables for Wire Rope, Hemp Rope, and Chain using fathoms as the unit of measure. The group further comprises a two-fold boxwood rule with an integrated spirit level stamped Birmingham England, a white-faced logarithmic slide rule in a stitched tan leather case, a yellow-lacquered multi-fold rule, and a dark-stained wooden folding rule with brass fittings.

Condition report:
The items are in good antique and vintage condition consistent with age and professional workshop use. The spirit vials are intact and functional. Brass components display a natural aged patina and some surface oxidation. The boxwood elements show typical staining, surface scratches, and minor darkening. All hinges and slides are in working order. The leather slide rule case shows surface wear and light scuffing.
