Description

An assortment of eleven various mantel and alarm clocks, primarily of British and American manufacture from the mid-20th century. The collection includes a Smiths Art Deco mantel clock with a central circular dial flanked by translucent textured acrylic wings, marked Made in England. Two Metamec clocks are present: one Art Deco style featuring a rectangular tan onyx-effect case with dark wood supports and a second wooden bracket-style clock with a brass carrying handle. The group contains two Westclox Baby Ben alarm clocks, one with a blue case and one with a black dial and gold-toned bezel, alongside a white-cased Timex alarm clock marked shock resistant. Further items include a large wooden mantel clock in the Napoleon’s Hat style, two wooden bracket-style clocks with silvered dials and Roman numerals, a rectangular stone-cased clock, a gold-toned sunburst style clock with a black dial, and a novelty pedestal clock on a turned wooden stand. Case materials across the collection include stained wood, onyx, brass-toned metal, acrylic, and plastic. Dials feature a mix of Arabic and Roman numerals.
