Description
A group of four English mantel clocks of various designs. The collection includes a dark wood-cased Smiths Enfield Napoleon hat clock featuring a silvered chapter ring with Arabic numerals and two winding holes. Also present is a larger oak-cased Napoleon hat clock with a silvered chapter ring and two winding holes. A third Napoleon hat clock of lower profile in a mahogany-stained case is decorated with inlaid stringing and floral marquetry motifs, featuring a single winding hole to the dial. Completing the group is a tall arched-top mantel clock marked Hapkinsworth London to the dial, featuring an oval sunburst marquetry inlay to the base and a single winding hole. All clocks feature mechanical movements.
Large oak clock height: 7.5 inches.
Condition report:
The wooden cases show age-related wear including minor scuffs, scratches, and marks. One winding key is included. The mechanical movements are untested. Items are sold as-is.
