Description

A large mixed lot containing an assortment of antiques, vintage collectibles, and ephemera. The collection includes several branded items: a Valet AutoStrop safety razor in its original cardboard box; a Mitre brand cricket ball marked Yorkshire-England and Established 1830; a Dunlop brand accessory tin; and a brass whistle incised with The Metropolitan. Decorative pieces include a silver-tone metal mantel clock depicting a cherub driving a chariot pulled by two lions, a brass nautical-themed ornament with a ship’s wheel and sailboats, a multi-aperture photo frame stand, and a wooden wall cross with inset painted religious icons. Miscellaneous items comprise a green marbled-effect monocular, a stainless steel hip flask, a miniature decorative mandolin, a black animal figurine, and a black-framed hourglass. Paper and art ephemera include a Wightman’s Arithmetical Tables booklet, a John Neal football manager sticker, and a small gilt-framed landscape painting of a windmill. A yellow folding ruler, a cream-coloured tin with black stripes, and a brass box containing enamel souvenir shields and metal charms are also included.

Condition report:

The items are in mixed vintage condition. Some boxes and tins, particularly the Dunlop tin and Valet razor box, show significant surface wear, paint loss, and scuffing. Metal objects exhibit varying degrees of patination and surface tarnish. Mechanical and optical items, such as the mantel clock and monocular, are untested for functionality. The lot is sold as-is for decorative use or restoration.
