Description
This lot comprises a vintage British Airways cabin crew uniform hat and a matching oval carrying case, dating from the Landor branding era of the airline between 1984 and 1997. The uniform for this period was designed by Roland Klein. The wedge-style hat is constructed from a dark navy blue textile with a fine vertical pinstripe pattern. It features a vibrant red fabric lining and an internal label marked with the size S. A silver-tone metal Speedwing badge is pinned to the side of the hat, and a thin black elastic chin strap is attached to the interior. The matching hard-sided carrying case is made from a black synthetic material with white contrast perimeter stitching. It includes a top carry handle and the British Airways Speedwing logo printed on the lid.
Case: 28 cm x 23 cm x 15 cm
Hat: 23 cm in length.
Condition report:
Both items are in good vintage condition. The hat shows light surface lint consistent with storage. The carrying case exhibits minor creasing to the lid and light surface wear. The internal elastic strap on the hat remains intact and elasticated.
