Description
A walking stick featuring a cast metal handle sculpted in the form of a greyhound or whippet head. The handle includes a moulded collar and shows a dark patina with wear revealing a copper or brass-toned substrate. The shaft is constructed from a natural, gnarled wood branch with a dark-stained and polished finish. A black metal ferrule is present at the base. There are no visible maker marks, signatures, or inscriptions.
Condition report:
Signs of moderate wear consistent with use. The handle finish is worn on protruding areas. The wooden shaft exhibits surface scratches and scuffing. The ferrule shows typical wear from ground contact.
