Description
This collection of international paper currency comprises notes from multiple global issuers and various time periods. Included are Peruvian Diez Intis notes featuring the portrait of Ricardo Palma and Brazilian 1000 Mil Cruzados notes depicting Machado de Assis, the latter bearing triangular 1 Cruzado Novo overstamps. The group contains a 1981 Mozambique 100 Escudos note featuring Samora Machel, a Slovenian 1 Tolar note (Serial AE 90320953), and Macedonian provisional notes. Italian currency is represented by a 1990s 1000 Lire Maria Montessori issue (Serial AA 911330 F) and an earlier Mille Lire issue featuring Marco Polo. Asian issues include a Burmese 1 Kyat note featuring Bogyoke Aung San (Serial 0S 2989048), a 1964 Indonesian Satu Sen note, a South Korean 10 Jeon note, and a note from the Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan. The notes display various security features including complex lathe work, watermarks, and diverse serial number formats. The colour palette includes shades of purple, blue, green, and brown.
Condition report:
The notes are in generally circulated condition. Observable wear includes sharp and soft vertical centre folds, horizontal folds, light handling marks, and minor corner rounding. Some examples exhibit faint staining or paper discolouration, while others remain in a relatively crisp state of preservation. No notes are housed in professional grading slabs.
