Description
A mid-twentieth-century vintage clutch bag by the British maker Ortella. The exterior is crafted from genuine lizard skin in a taupe shade, featuring a fine and uniform grain. The bag is designed with a structured silhouette and a hinged silver-toned metal frame with a kiss-lock clasp. The reverse of the bag includes a central vertical finger strap for secure carrying. The interior is lined with a taupe-coloured satin-type fabric and is divided into compartments, including an integrated smaller framed coin purse with a matching kiss-lock clasp and an open slip pocket. An internal woven label is present with the text Ortella REGD MADE IN ENGLAND. Potential buyers should be aware of CITES regulations regarding the international shipment of exotic reptile skins.

Condition report:
The bag is in fair to good vintage condition. The exterior lizard skin shows visible signs of age and use, including darkening and surface wear particularly concentrated along the bottom edges, corners, and the top frame line. The silver-toned metal frame exhibits some minor tarnishing and surface oxidation consistent with age. The interior lining shows light soiling and age-related marks but remains intact. All clasps are functional.
