Description
An Avon novelty toiletry container depicting the British comic strip character Andy Capp, created by Reg Smythe for the Daily Mirror. The figure is constructed from moulded plastic and serves as a dispenser for body powder. The character is portrayed in his signature attire, including a green checked flat cap which acts as the removable lid, a black suit, white shirt, green tie, and a green waistcoat with a single moulded button. The figure is depicted with a cigarette in his mouth and hands in his pockets. A moulded rectangular panel on the reverse of the jacket contains the following text: AVON Blue Blazer Body Powder 100 g. Web research indicates a production date of circa 1969.

Condition report:
The item shows minor surface wear consistent with age and use. There are small paint losses visible on the green cap and the black shoes. The container appears complete with its original head component. No original packaging is present.
