Description
A collection of vintage dolls dating from the mid-20th century, comprising four examples in various materials and sizes. The grouping includes a large toddler-sized doll with moulded hair and blue sleep eyes, dressed in a red and white striped sleeveless top. This is flanked by a baby doll in a blue and white sailor-style outfit with red ribbon detailing and matching booties, and another doll with moulded brown hair wearing a hand-knitted orange and white crochet-style dress. Positioned in the foreground is a smaller doll with a darker complexion, moulded hair, and a multi-coloured geometric patterned dress with red trim and brown shoes. The dolls exhibit characteristics typical of the period, including jointed limbs and painted facial features. No maker marks are discernible.

Height of smallest doll: approximately 20 cm.
Condition report:
The collection shows signs of age and significant play wear. There is visible surface marking, scuffing, and minor paint loss to the moulded hair and facial features of several dolls. The clothing exhibits age-related discolouration, minor staining, and light fraying to the seams. The sleep eye mechanisms appear functional but show some internal clouding to the iris detail.
