Lot 155:
Description
A large, clear glass vessel of globular form, commonly identified as a storage jar or carboy. The piece features a short, wide neck with a thick, rounded, and reinforced rim. Faint vertical mould seams are visible on the body, indicating it is mould-blown or machine-made utility glass. The base features a circular recessed ring and no visible pontil mark, consistent with industrial manufacture. Raised, moulded characters are present on the interior shoulder; however, these marks are indistinct and do not allow for a definitive attribution to a specific manufacturer.
Width: Approximately 10–11 inches
Height: Approximately 11–12 inches
Opening Diameter: Approximately 4.5–5 inches.
