Lot 6:
Description
A large-scale figure of a muscular, bearded male in the classical style, based on the celebrated Hellenistic model of the Farnese Hercules. The figure is depicted in a leaning contrapposto pose with the arms truncated as partial stumps to evoke the aesthetic of an ancient archaeological fragment. The sculpture features a dark, greenish-black patina that highlights the detailed musculature of the torso and limbs. It is mounted upon a thick, rectangular black plinth. No signatures, foundry marks, or edition numbers were observed during inspection.
Height: 55 cm
Width: 16 cm
Depth: 16 cm.
Condition report:
The sculpture presents in good overall condition. The surface patina appears even and well-maintained with no significant signs of wear or oxidation. There are no visible chips, cracks, or structural repairs. The truncated arms are an intentional stylistic feature.
