Description
A vintage autograph book featuring a black textured cover with a gold-tone border and the word autographs in stylized lowercase lettering. The book contains signatures from various British figures in entertainment and sport, primarily dating from the 1970s and 1980s. Signatures for Burt Kwouk and John Alderton are present on a single white slip of paper secured to a page with adhesive tape. Other signatures are written directly onto the yellowed internal pages, including those of boxer Henry Cooper, singer Linda Lewis, and musician Gary Numan. The Linda Lewis signature is inscribed Best Wishes Love Linda Lewis x. The Gary Numan signature is inscribed For Fran Love Gary Numan x. Several entries feature identification notes written in a secondary hand beneath the signatures.
Condition report:
The exterior cover shows significant white mottling and surface spotting consistent with age or damp storage. Internal pages exhibit notable yellowing. The adhesive tape used for the inserted signatures has aged and discoloured to a dark amber tone. No formal certificates of authenticity are present.
