Description

This collection comprises various components of British or Commonwealth military web equipment, consistent in design with Pattern 1937 (P37) issue. Included is a standard khaki canvas webbing waist belt featuring brass end-fittings and a brass sliding keeper. Accompanying the belt is a double-compartment canvas ammunition pouch unit. Each pouch is fitted with a brown leather closure strap with punched holes for securing to a brass stud fastener. This specific configuration, incorporating leather components, is characteristic of certain Commonwealth-produced variants, most notably those manufactured in India during the mid-20th century. The collection also includes several loose brass C hook sliders, which are standard components used for attaching pouches and other accoutrements to the webbing belt. No maker’s marks, dates, or broad arrow stamps are visible on the canvas or leather surfaces.

Visible belt length: approximately 27 inches
Pouch unit width: approximately 8 inches.

Condition report:

The items are in good used condition, showing signs of service wear consistent with age. The canvas displays some surface dirt, minor fraying at the edges, and slight fading. The leather straps on the pouches are intact but show some creasing and surface drying. The brass hardware exhibits a natural aged patina and some tarnish.
