Description
A traditional Scottish Luckenbooth brooch crafted in sterling silver. The design comprises two intertwined hearts surmounted by a crown, a classic motif in Scottish jewellery often given as a token of love or protection. The hearts feature punched C-scroll decoration and terminate in foliate flourishes. The crown at the top is rendered with an openwork lattice pattern. On the reverse, the lower left terminal is incised with the mark 925, denoting its sterling silver content. The brooch is secured with a horizontal pin and a roll-over safety clasp. No maker marks or date letters are visible.
Condition report:
The item is in good condition, showing light surface scratching and minor tarnishing consistent with age and use. The pin and safety catch are fully functional. No repairs or structural defects are observed.
