Description
A contemporary silver-plated lidded decorative vessel produced by the luxury lifestyle brand Shanghai Tang. The item comprises a three-piece construction including a cylindrical outer frame, a removable solid inner liner, and a conforming lid. The outer frame features a solid lower section and a reticulated upper section decorated with pierced geometric fretwork and traditional Chinese Shou longevity symbols. The frame is supported by three small ball feet. The lid is similarly pierced with four Shou characters and is surmounted by a dark wood spherical finial. The underside of the base is incised with the Shanghai Tang trademark, featuring a decorative scroll border, three Chinese characters, a depiction of the Pedder Building, and a ribbon inscribed SHANGHAI TANG TM above the text MADE BY CHINESE. No official silver hallmarks are present, indicating the piece is made of silver-plated metal.
