Description

This lot consists of two pieces of silver-plated tableware of British manufacture.

The first item is a silver-plated three-section serving dish by Elkington & Co. of Birmingham. The dish features three partitioned segments, each adorned with an intricate pierced border of foliate and scrollwork designs. It is finished with a central upright ring handle. The base of the dish is stamped with the pattern number 34062, a shield mark containing E & Co, and the words SILVER PLATED and ENGLAND.

The second item is a cylindrical silver-plated ice bucket or biscuit barrel. The vessel is decorated with a series of horizontal bands in an Art Deco style and is fitted with a pivoting swing handle. It contains a removable, perforated interior drainer plate.

Ice bucket height: approximately 15 cm (6 inches)

Serving dish diameter: approximately 25 cm (10 inches).

Condition report:

Both items exhibit tarnish and light surface scratching consistent with age and use. No significant dents, splits, or previous repairs are visible. The silver plating appears to be largely intact across both pieces.
