Description
A glazed porcelain figurine of a seated teddy bear produced by Old Tupton Ware. The piece is finished in a pale yellow glaze and decorated with hand-painted, tube-lined red roses and associated green and brown foliage across the chest and arms. The bear features simple hand-painted facial details including small eyes, eyebrows, and a dark brown nose and mouth. The underside of the figurine bears a grey stamped maker mark featuring a crown above the script text Old Tupton Ware. The item is presented in its original navy blue cardboard box with a blue satin-effect interior lining; the lid is printed with the Old Tupton Ware logo in gold.
Height: 10cm.
Condition report:
The figurine is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, crazing, or evidence of repair. The tube-lined decoration is well-defined and the glaze retains a high-gloss finish. The original presentation box is structurally sound with only minor signs of shelf wear to the exterior.
