Description
A group of decorative miniature replicas representing various historical firearms from the seventeenth to the nineteenth centuries. The collection is housed within a deep-profile, dark-stained wooden frame with a red felt-covered interior backing. Each miniature is constructed from cast metal with a combination of blackened and brass-toned finishes to simulate the original wood and metal components. The collection includes a flintlock-style pistol, a percussion-style pistol, a larger flared-barrel blunderbuss or trabuco, a miquelet-lock pistol, and a double-barrel percussion pistol. Small etched brass-toned plaques in Spanish identify each piece as follows: Pistola Beretta Familia del Siglo XVII, Pistola de Galera Primeros del Siglo XIX, Trabuco Oriental de Pacha Finales del Siglo XVIII, Pistola Miguelete Siglo XVIII, and Pistola de dos Disparos Mitad del Siglo XIX. These items are modern decorative collectibles and are non-functional. The Spanish text on the plaques suggests a Spanish origin, typical of historical miniatures produced for the souvenir market in centres such as Toledo.

The miniatures and identifying plaques are securely mounted and appear to be in good condition. The wooden frame shows minor surface wear, including small scratches and abrasions consistent with age and handling. The mitred corners of the frame remain intact but show light signs of age.
