Description
A collection of wooden boxes and miniature chests in various styles. The group includes a large dark-stained wooden chest with a brass swing handle and an ornate metal escutcheon, containing a divided interior. A rectangular wooden box features relief-carved foliate borders on the lid and the incised letters L.E.C. on the front panel. A mahogany-toned box is constructed with a tiered base and features a two-compartment interior. A light-toned wooden box features an inlaid marquetry scene on the lid depicting figures and a water buffalo, with a red fabric-lined interior. Also included is a two-tier decorative chest with a domed lid and a single drawer, finished with a printed antique-style map design with text including Via Vee World Classic and SEPTEN TRIONALIS.

Condition report:
General age-related wear is visible across the collection. Surface scratches and scuffs are present on the wood finishes. There is minor chipping to the edges of the carved box. Interior linings and compartments show signs of use.
