Description
A vintage toy grand piano constructed from wood with a black painted finish. It features a three-legged design with turned legs. The top of the lid is decorated with a lithographed decal titled Baby Orchestra Piano, depicting a group of anthropomorphic animals including rabbits and a cat or fox in costume, led by a figure in a blue top hat. The keyboard comprises twelve white keys and seven black keys. The white keys are printed with the numbers 6, 7, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 1, 2, 3. The internal mechanism likely consists of hammers striking metal rods.

Condition report:
The item shows significant signs of age and playwear. The black painted surface exhibits extensive scuffing and loss, particularly along the edges and top, revealing the underlying wood. The keyboard displays heavy foxing and discolouration to the key surfaces. There is noticeable peeling and loss to the veneers on the keys, most prominent on the right-hand side. The central lithographic decal is largely intact but shows surface cracking and minor abrasions.
