Description
A two-piece ceramic figural nutcracker modelled in the form of an alligator. The piece is finished in a metallic gunmetal-tone lustre glaze with an iridescent quality. The construction features a lever-action mechanism where the upper jaw and head function as the lever, hinged to the lower body and tail which serve as the base. The ceramic body is textured to represent reptilian scales. No maker marks, signatures, or model numbers are visible on the interior or exterior surfaces.

The item consists of two ceramic components and includes the metal hinge pin. No chips, cracks, or repairs are visible. The lustre glaze is well-preserved with no significant wear or flaking observed.
