Lot 76:
Description
A mixed collection of die-cast and plastic model vehicles and aircraft, the majority contained in original retail packaging. The lot includes a Corgi Classics 1956 Mercedes 300SC (Ref 805) finished in black with a cream interior. A group of three Corgi Best of British Police Cars in 1:43 scale comprises a Jaguar MkII (Bedfordshire Police), a Hillman Imp (Kent Police), and a Hillman Avenger (West Yorkshire Police). Also present is a Corgi The New Mini Cooper in black with a white roof, housed in a clear acrylic display case.
The collection features two Eaglemoss Batman series models in display cases, numbered 45 (blue jet aircraft) and 76 (black Batmobile style vehicle). Aviation is further represented by a Hawker Hurricane Mk IIc The Siege of Tobruk 1941 in a plastic blister pack. Military vehicles include an Amer.com HMMWV M1046 – 2006 on a titled display plinth.
Other items include a Hornby four-wheel railway wagon in green livery for Hawkin’s Bazaar, a Touch and Go Cars electronic Lamborghini Huracan in lime green, a boxed Solido les Jouets Reedition item, and a Ferrari 308GTS in a small Special Edition Offer box. The lot is completed by a loose, unpainted clear plastic sports car body shell.
Scale reference: 1:43 scale cars are approximately 10 cm to 12 cm in length.
The Hurricane blister pack stands approximately 25 cm high.
Condition report:
Most models appear to be in mint, unused condition within their original packaging. The outer cardboard boxes show varying degrees of minor shelf wear, edge scuffing, and light corner crushing, notably to the top of the Mercedes box. The plastic blister pack for the Hurricane shows some light surface scratching. The loose plastic shell is unprotected.
