Description
An LJ brand musical automaton diorama and jewellery box featuring Charlie Chaplin in his iconic The Tramp role. The unit is constructed from black plastic, designed as a miniature stage with decorative curtains and a tiled floor pattern. The interior features a black-and-white articulated graphic figure of Chaplin set against a backdrop of a window and a stylised staircase. The base of the unit incorporates a single storage drawer with a brass-tone pull knob. The reverse is equipped with a metal T-bar wind-up key and a circular aperture revealing the internal mechanical components. Markings on the reverse include an embossed square logo with the characters LJ over MADE IN CHINA, and a paper label identifying the musical tune as You Light Up My Life.

Condition report:
The item displays signs of light age-related wear. There is a notable area of white scuffing and loss of finish to the top-left corner of the rear casing. The interior diorama is well-preserved with minor surface dust. Mechanical and musical functions have not been tested.
