Lot 171:
Description
A two-piece jewellery suite comprising a floral cluster ring and a coordinating set band. The cluster ring is designed as a daisy head, featuring a central round brilliant-cut stone claw-set within a surround of eight smaller round brilliant-cut stones. The cluster is raised on an open-work gallery and set to a plain, polished tapering shank. The coordinating band is a half-eternity style, grain-set with a row of small round brilliant-cut stones across the upper half of the shank. Both items are constructed from a white metal. Indented marks are present on the inner shank of the set band but are not clearly legible; no marks are visible on the cluster ring.
Cluster Ring: internal diameter approximately 17.5mm (UK size O). Cluster head diameter approximately 13mm.
Set Band: internal diameter approximately 16.5mm (UK size L½).
Condition report:
Both items are in used condition with visible signs of wear including surface scratching and minor abrasions. The cluster ring shows wear to the setting and one or more claws may require re-tipping. The set band is slightly out of round and one stone is missing from the end of the row. Gemstones have not been tested for natural versus synthetic origin or quality and show typical surface dust. Professional testing for metal purity and stone authenticity is recommended.
