Lot 179:
Description
A collection of three assorted antique condiment or salt spoons of varying decorative styles. The first spoon features a circular bowl and a highly ornate handle decorated with rococo-inspired foliate scrolls and shell motifs. The second spoon is designed with a scalloped shell-shaped bowl and a plain, tapering handle. The third spoon has a circular bowl and a handle with a beaded border, terminating in an engraved geometric and foliate design. Rectangular marks are visible on the reverse of the stems of two spoons; however, these are not clearly legible from the provided images, and definitive metal purity cannot be established without physical testing.
Dimensions: Length approximately 6cm to 9cm
Weight: Estimated under 50g.
Condition report:
The spoons are in good antique condition. All pieces show visible surface tarnishing and oxidation, which is typical for silver items of this period. The shell-shaped spoon displays some minor surface scratching and wear to the bowl. There are no evident bends, breaks, or professional repairs.
