Description
This assortment of Chinese decorative items comprises various pieces in lacquer, cloisonné enamel, wood, and stone. The collection includes a decorative magnifying glass with a cloisonné enamel handle and lens mount featuring floral motifs and a pink lotus, presented in a yellow patterned box. A three-legged money toad or Jin Chan figure is carved from a reddish-brown material, depicted seated upon coins. The lacquerware consists of a red rectangular box with mother-of-pearl inlay of a bird on a branch and a turtle-form clasp, alongside two black lacquer boxes featuring mother-of-pearl cranes and gilt mountain landscapes respectively. A pair of green enamel Baoding chime balls decorated with dragons is contained in a patterned box with text reading Iron Ball Direction and characters 鐵球說明書. Also included are two small hand mirrors with pale green stone handles, one rectangular with a reverse-painted portrait and one circular with cloisonné flowers. Wood items include a bamboo-form chopstick holder with three carved turtles containing dark wood chopsticks with gilt characters, and a set of four chopsticks with mother-of-pearl bird inlays. A paper item with black calligraphy features a red square seal mark for Bao Tai Tang (保泰堂).

Condition report:
The carved wooden turtle holder exhibits a significant vertical split and joint separation on the right side. There is general light wear to the edges and corners of the lacquer and cardboard boxes. The interior of the magnifying glass box shows light staining. Minor surface scratches and dust are present throughout the collection consistent with age and display.
