Description
A two-blade folding pen knife manufactured by John Wigfall and Co of Sheffield. The tang of the primary blade is stamped with the Bona Fide trademark in an arch, above John Wigfall and Co Sheffield. The knife is designed in an equal-end pattern, featuring a primary spear point blade and a secondary pen blade folding into brass liners. The handle is fitted with smooth cream-coloured scales secured by three pins, featuring a central flush-mounted rectangular metal shield inlay.
Blade lengths: Primary blade 65mm; Secondary blade 40mm.
Condition report:
The knife is in used antique condition. Both steel blades show significant surface oxidation, dark patina, and evidence of repeated sharpening. The handle scales are intact with minor surface wear and light staining around the pins. No cracks are evident.
