Description
These vintage lorgnette-style opera glasses are produced by Marvel. The instrument features a gilt metal body with fluted pearlescent panels on the barrels and a matching octagonal handle. The eyepieces and bridge covering are constructed from a white composite material. Mechanically, the glasses are equipped with a central knurled focusing wheel and a side-mounted handle with a hinged joint, allowing for adjustable viewing angles. The bridge is marked with the printed text MARVEL 3 X.

Condition report:
The glasses are in fair condition. There is a significant patch of surface finish loss and damage to the front of the bridge adjacent to the maker\'s mark. General wear and thinning of the gold-toned plating are evident across the metal surfaces and edges. The pearlescent panels remain intact without visible cracks. The lenses are clear of major chips or cracks, though some minor internal dust is present. The central focusing wheel and handle hinge appear functional.
