Lot 77:
Description
A white metal dress ring featuring a central oval-cut dark blue stone, claw-set within a decorative scalloped halo. The halo and the openwork marquise-shaped shoulders are grain-set with small round-cut white stones. The ring transitions into a plain, polished shank. The interior of the shank shows markings that are not clearly legible. The metal remains untested and may be sterling silver, white gold, or a plated base metal.
Ring Size: R (UK)
Head Dimensions: 15mm x 13mm.
Condition report:
The ring is in good overall condition with typical signs of light wear. There are fine surface scratches and minor abrasions to the metal shank and setting consistent with regular use. Tarnish and residue are present in the recessed areas of the decorative setting. The stones appear to be securely held in their settings; no significant chips or cracks are visible to the central stone. As the hallmarks are illegible, professional testing is recommended to confirm metal purity.
