Description
A vintage Silver Plated tie slide manufactured by Stratton, featuring a central equestrian-themed motif. The design depicts a fox in a running pose set within an open horseshoe frame. The slide is constructed with a three-bar spring-tension mechanism. The reverse of the clip bar is stamped with the stylized script name Stratton followed by the word IMITATION and MADE IN ENGLAND. The reverse of the horseshoe is additionally impressed with the characters MADE IN ENGLAND.
Condition report:
The front of the tie slide shows minor surface wear consistent with age (photo 1). The reverse displays significant tarnishing and wear to the plating, particularly on the horseshoe and the inner bars of the clip (photo 2 and 3). The spring-tension mechanism remains functional.
