Description
A mid-century plastic D.L.I. FlamingoLighter featuring a spherical deep red cabinet bisected by a silver horizontal trim band. The spherical body is topped with a central aperture for a retractable telescopic antenna, finished with a red plastic finial. The radio is presented with its original cardboard box, which features a textured snakeskin pattern and a circular red and white logo depicting a flamingo bird alongside the text D. L. I. FLAMINGO. Also included is a group of six cylindrical batteries featuring green and black paper labels reading Drydex BY EXIDE BATTERY 1 1/2 V T10, with the metal caps stamped MADE IN BRITAIN.

Condition report:
Light surface scuffing and some dulling of the original finish to the red plastic radio body (photo 1). Minor oxidation is visible on the silver horizontal trim band (photo 1). The telescopic antenna appears intact and extends fully (photo 2). The box is in poor to fair condition with significant surface wear, staining, and fraying with paper loss at the edges and corners (photo 1). The six Drydex batteries show age-related darkening and wear to the paper wrappers (photo 1). Items are sold as collectibles; electronic components are untested.
