Description
A collection of glazed earthenware nursery ware comprising a cereal bowl, a two-handled loving cup, a single-handle mug, and an egg cup, all featuring the Peter Rabbit pattern based on the illustrations of Beatrix Potter. The bowl is decorated with a central transfer-printed scene depicting Peter Rabbit and his family engaged in gardening, bordered by a repeating motif of running rabbits. The two-handled loving cup and single-handle mug both feature scenes of Mrs. Rabbit and her children. The small egg cup is printed with the text he was very damp with sitting in that can. The set is accompanied by two original illustrated cardboard boxes. The larger box is printed with the text Wedgwood PETER RABBIT TM and further bears the inscription Authorized version of a Beatrix Potter Original made by Wedgwood under licence from Frederick Warne PLC Beatrix Potter Creations. The smaller box similarly bears the Wedgwood and Peter Rabbit branding. The items are finished with a cream-coloured glaze and multi-coloured transfer decorations.

Condition report:
The ceramic pieces are in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs (photo 1). The transfer-printed decorations and glazes remain bright and intact. The two cardboard boxes show visible signs of wear, including creasing to the surfaces, significant edge wear, and tearing to the top flaps and corners (photo 1).
