Description
A collection of vintage toys comprising four diecast model vehicles and one mixed material wind up locomotive. The diecast selection features two Morris Mini-Traveller models finished in dark green with brown woody style trim, yellow interiors, and silver hubs. These are accompanied by their original yellow cardboard boxes printed with DINKY TOYS, 197, and MORRIS MINI-TRAVELLER. A side panel lists features including Fingertip Steering, 4-Wheel Suspension, Windows, Seating, and Steering Wheel. Also included is a Model A Ford with a cream body, brown chassis, and black roof, housed in a blue and yellow box printed with MATCHBOX, 73, and MODEL ‘A’ FORD. The box base is marked MATCHBOX IS THE REGISTERED TRADE MARK (MARCA REGISTRADA) OF LESNEY PRODUCTS & CO. LTD. LONDON ENGLAND. The final item is a wind up locomotive toy constructed from lithographed tinplate and plastic, featuring a blue boiler with a face and a yellow flag marked 55. The box is titled A WIND UP TOY PLAYLAND CHOO-CHOO and bears a logo for YONE and NO. 2222.
Condition report:
The two Mini-Traveller vehicles appear in near-mint condition with minimal paint loss. Their boxes show light shelf wear and creasing at the corners (photo 1). The Model A Ford is in excellent condition with no visible chips; its box shows minor creasing (photo 2). The wind up locomotive appears complete and bright, though its outer box has significant paper loss on the top flap and edge wear (photo 1).
