Lot 139:
Description
A Luftwaffe visor cap eagle insignia struck in a lightweight silver metal, likely aluminum. The piece is designed in the droop-tail style, depicting a flying eagle in flight with outspread wings, clutching a mobile swastika in its talons. The metal exhibits detailed feathering to the wings and body. The reverse features a hollow-back construction with visible solder residue at two points on the horizontal axis where the original attachment prongs were positioned. There are no maker marks or manufacturer codes present on the reverse of the insignia.
