Description
A Luftwaffe Obergefreiter rank insignia sleeve patch constructed from dark blue-grey wool. The patch features two silver-grey tressed wings or gulls machine-embroidered in a horizontal parallel stitch pattern, characteristic of the German Air Force corporal rank. The design incorporates a swastika symbol positioned to the left of the wings. The reverse of the badge reveals the coarse texture of the wool base and the white thread used in the machine assembly. The construction and materials are consistent with period production for use on flight tunics or field garments.
